Genesis customers can take control of their energy use and save time using Genesis tools such as Energy IQ. Energy IQ (app or online) lets you order bottled gas, forecast and compare your energy use, update your details, view your bill, and make payments.

Genesis customers provides its customers with a range of benefits including Power Shouts (free hours of electricity), a range of discounts, and a call centre. 

Genesis generates electricity from a diverse portfolio of thermal and renewable generation assets located in different parts of the country. Genesis is concerned with Sustainability and they have made commitments to caring for the environment, staff, customers and the communities in which they operate.  

Genesis works with their customers to resolve any issues - call 0800 300 400. Customers can also contact the Utilities Disputes team to deal with unresolved complaints.

• Discounts: Genesis offers discounts for receiving your bill by email, paying online, signing up for a fixed term amongst others.
• Genesis provides qualifying customers with ‘Power Shouts’ – a set number of free hours of electricity.
• Genesis has an EV plan under which qualifying customers get a 50% discount on household electricity from 9pm to 7am.
• Dual Fuel discounts for signing up for electricity and gas.

Outside of Europe, Genesis is the only electricity generator and retailer to tie targets to 1.5°C with the Science Based Targets initiative. They have also committed to reducing generation emissions by 36% and emissions from products sold, and goods and services bought by 21%.

• Register/log in to Energy IQ to view your usage data immediately in a user friendly way. Drill down to monthly, weekly or daily usage.
• Request a summarised report - the consumption data recorded on each of your bills for the last 24 months (may take up to 4 weeks)

The amount of data provided will depend on the period you are requesting for, the type of meter, and how often the meter was read, e.g. if you have a smart meter, your data may include 15-minute interval readings.
