Consumers who would like to sign up with Octopus Energy must have a smart meter.

- Intelligent Octopus integrates with your EV or home battery and creates a customised charging schedule every time you charge. Plus, you receive a $10 account credit each month.
- Offers a 23c peak export rate for customers with a battery on the OctopusPeaker plan.
- Some locations allow customers to control their hot water heating to save on their power bills.
- No fixed-term contracts or break fees.

- The OctopusFlexi plan offers a solar or home-generation buy-back rate of 17c per kWh.
- For 6 months from April 1 to Sept 30 we are offering 40c Peak Export rate on OctopusPeaker.

Vulnerable and medically dependent customers
Notify Octopus Energy immediately if:
- someone in the household for reasons of age, health or disability would be at risk if power were disconnected from the property
- there is trouble paying bills due to genuine financial hardship.
If you have been verified as medically dependent, Octopus Energy will not disconnect your power supply for unpaid bills.
Medically dependent Octopus Energy customers must provide a medical certificate or other information to confirm their status.
